The Neon Collection is an experiment of layered graffitied and tagged backgrounds juxtaposed with illuminated female figures and vehicles. Drawing upon her background in fashion, Jess wanted to play with clothing silhouettes and imagine how fabrics would react to light. Here, the exploration of light and vibrant colour through paint was the main objection. Coloured and neon lighting at night transform the environment into a different place, magical, mysterious and sometimes eerie. Jess’ work is a homage to the places that you are often warned not to go but are just too tempting the resist.
